Schedule appointmentSkin imperfections, wrinkles, or scars can affect the appearance of our skin. Sciton's ProFractional™ laser treatment focuses on deep regeneration using state-of-the-art fractional technology—for visibly smoother, younger-looking skin.
Dr. Rosalia LuketinaSciton’s ProFractional™ technology is a fractional laser treatment that creates microchannels in the skin without removing the entire surface. This means that targeted microchannels activate collagen formation deep within the skin, while the surrounding tissue remains intact and accelerates the healing process. This not only visibly improves the skin’s structure, but also effectively reduces acne scars, sun damage, and fine to deeper wrinkles. Compared to many other laser procedures, ProFractional™ works with a higher penetration depth, enabling excellent results even with more pronounced skin problems. The controlled thermal effect stimulates deep tissue regeneration—for long-term strengthened, smoother, and more radiant skin. The treatment is suitable for the face, neck, décolleté, and body areas such as hands or scarred areas.
After just one session, the skin structure appears refined and more even. Scars, pigment spots, and wrinkles are reduced, pores appear smaller, and the complexion overall becomes more radiant. Because the skin is stimulated to regenerate itself deep down, the final result builds up gradually—with visible improvement over several weeks. The lasting effect is particularly noteworthy: collagen formation is stimulated over a period of months, leading to increased firming and smoothing of the skin. Many patients report an overall fresher, clearer complexion – even in the long term.
Before treatment, we analyze your skin and discuss your goals. It is recommended that you avoid intense sun exposure, solariums, and exfoliation for approximately two weeks prior to your session. Depending on your skin type, preparatory care with medical products may also be beneficial.
After thorough cleansing, an anesthetic cream is applied to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. The fractional laser is then guided in a controlled manner over the areas of skin to be treated. This creates tiny microchannels that activate the body's own healing process. The treatment takes between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the area.
Immediately after treatment, the skin is noticeably reddened and shows initial scabs in some areas. In the first few days, a scabby surface forms, accompanied by a feeling of tightness or slight swelling. After about 4 to 6 days, the skin begins to peel—this process can take up to 10 days, depending on skin type. After that, slight redness usually remains, which can persist for some time—this is part of the natural healing phase.
After the procedure, the skin should be cared for with particular gentleness. Cleansing products should be very mild, and active ingredients such as fruit acids or retinol should be avoided. It is also important to use consistent sun protection with SPF 50 for at least four weeks. Makeup should only be used again once the scabs have completely healed. Supportive care products or follow-up treatments may be useful to stabilize the results.

We conduct a detailed consultation before each treatment. During this consultation, we analyze your skin and discuss with you which skin changes bother you—e.g., acne scars, pigment spots, large pores, or wrinkles. Based on this consultation and a professional diagnosis, we decide whether ProFractional™ is the right method for your goals. The treatment is particularly suitable for structural skin problems, light-induced skin aging, or scars—both on the face and other parts of the body.
First, the skin is thoroughly cleansed and an anesthetic cream is applied to increase comfort during the treatment. After about 30 to 45 minutes, the actual laser treatment begins. The fractional Erbium:YAG laser creates tiny microchannels in the skin, leaving the surrounding tissue intact. This technique triggers a targeted regeneration process deep within the skin. Depending on the treatment area, the session lasts 60 to 90 minutes. During this time, many patients experience a strong sensation of heat, comparable to sunburn.
The first improvements are visible after around 10 to 14 days – the skin appears fresher, more even, and smoother. However, the final result unfolds over several weeks, as collagen regeneration continues to work deep down. Many report a steady improvement in their skin’s appearance for up to three months after treatment. Scars and wrinkles also become less noticeable over time.
The skin forms clearly visible scabs in the first 2–3 days, which later turn into fine flaking. This healing phase lasts a total of 5 to 10 days. During this time, the skin should not be covered with makeup and should be cared for particularly gently. After healing, the skin may remain reddened for several weeks—a normal sign of ongoing regeneration. Important: UV protection (at least SPF 50) is mandatory. Saunas, sun exposure, and intensive care products should be avoided for two weeks. Soothing, moisturizing care provides optimal support for the skin during this phase.
In addition to redness, scabbing, and tightness, temporary swelling may occur. Pigment changes rarely occur—usually when sun protection has been neglected. However, the treatment is generally considered safe when performed professionally and followed up with proper aftercare.
The cost depends on the area treated and the depth of the treatment. We would be happy to provide you with a transparent cost estimate during a personal consultation. Since the results are long-lasting, many patients consider ProFractional™ to be a worthwhile investment. A refresher treatment is recommended about once a year.
Yes—very well, in fact. To achieve comprehensive results, ProFractional™ can be combined with other methods such as the HALO™ laser, microneedling, or BBL Hero. This allows different skin layers to be targeted in order to treat pigment spots and structures simultaneously, for example. Your individual treatment plan will be agreed upon during the consultation.
